This course provides students with knowledge about commonly used prefixes, suffixes, and dental terminology including spelling and pronunciation. Students will understand rules for combining word parts to write terms correctly, analyze and write dental terms that use combining forms. Instruction about common charting symbols and abbreviations is also included.
