Course Description

This course provides students with the principles and tools needed to understand medical billing. Students will learn how to process claims for the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), Workers Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) and private billing. Students will also learn diagnostic codes and reciprocal billing, as well as, how to bill using AbelMed software. The training covers the requirements for registration and payment of services through the Ontario Health Insurance Plan, as well as, specialty, diagnostic and assessment codes.
