Course Description
This course provides students with knowledge about commonly used prefixes, suffixes, and medical vocabulary including spelling and pronunciation. Students will understand rules for combining word parts to write terms correctly, analyze and write medical terms that use combining forms, analyze and write medical terms that use prefix for numbers, quantities, measurements, position and direction. Study of common charting symbols and abbreviations is also included in the unit.
